Honeymoon Pics

Pelican Eyes was an amazing place to stay, unique arquitecture, flawless service, located on a beautifully landscaped hillside just above the bay of San Juan del Sur. It's part of a charitable foundation that provides training and apprenticeship programmes for locals. (and no, we don't get a commission for the advert;)

Life is hard......

Of course Hurricane Alma came and could have dampened our spirits but Andrew perservered....

I got on the board for a bit myself ;)...honestly I did.
After the hurricane there were some transportation problems... We had great fun in our rented 4x4...Others didn't have it quite so easy.... US college kids meet Nicaragua, we had to call a tractor in the end to bail them out.The weather cleared and we had time to play around on our own personal beach.

On the way back we saw this wedding procession, it was a real trip, now thats what I call a veil! Jenny was jealous. We asked if we could take their picture and they inivited us to join the reception. We sent them a copy. The Guardabarranco, the national bird of Nicaragua, pretty neat,eh?
